Playing the Waiting Game...

Hooray! it's less than two weeks until my due date, yay!! We can't wait for our little cupcake to get here! The past 9 months (since pregnancy should really be considered 10 months because 40 weeks really adds up to be 10 months....it's simple math) have gone by pretty fast, but this last month has almost felt like I've been going in reverse. I guess it is because of the anticipation of having the baby here soon. On the plus side with time feeling like it's going by slowly, we've been able to get the last details set up for her arrival (Chase is currently putting together Brooklyn's bassinet as I type!) He's been such a huge help with everything and has seemed to be getting into "daddy" mode lately :)

If you're interested in how I'm currently feeling I would be happy to share...I feel like an oompa loompa (minus the orange face and green hair, I would be more of a casper version of an oompa loompa). I have so desperately tried to prevent myself from developing the pregnant woman waddle. So far it has been a success but, I have slowly started to see it creep up one day at a time. Thankfully it has been great weather here the past few days. Last weeks heat wave plus humidity was not fun at all! I would puff up like a balloon within 0.5 seconds of stepping outside! Yea, it was pretty unpleasant. Other than that, I've been feeling great! Each doctor's appointment we go to, they say that I am right were I should be as far a dilation and effacement goes and that little cupcake is healthy :)

As of now, we have yet to have Chase write about anything on the blog so we'll now dedicate this time to him and his thoughts :)

Well writing in this blog isn't really my thing, but I will to make my baby happy. Things have been crazy these past few weeks getting everything ready for Brooklyn to come, and we are still frantically trying to get stuff done. It seems like there is always something else to do/buy/make. Regardless of all the "grief" it is still an adventure in and of itself , and there is no one else in the world I'd rather have by my side through it all than Mackenzie. She has been wonderful (and yes, very moody at times), and will be an awesome mother. Anyways, that's all I have to say...I'm sad the NBA season is over for now since there is nothing but baseball on ESPN, and no one likes baseball season while watching Sports Center. On that note, Brooklyn will be daddy's little girl and will love watching ballgames with me :).

Hope everyone enjoyed our update!!

Huge Hugs,
Chase, Mackenzie and little cupcake
